Refrigerated containers have two main constructional units: the body frame and the refrigerating unit. The body of the refrigerated container consists of the carrying structure and sandwiched panels from foamed polyurethane with the external layer made from duraluminum coating (2.00 mm thick) and the inside layer made from the shaped sheets of food-grade stainless steel (0.6 mm thick). The floor of the refrigerated container is made from the aluminum shape, which is durable enough to be handled by the ordinary warehouse forklift. The doors are made from the same foamed polyurethane sandwiched panes as a body of the container, and feature special locks that insure the air-tight closure of the cargo part of the container. The function of refrigerating unit, located in the end plane of the container body, is to keep the temperature inside the container in the automatic mode, ranging from –25°С (–13°F) to +25°С (+77°F). It uses the energy of the 3-phase electrical network, with the voltage of 360/460 V and frequency of 50 Hz. The electronic control unit allows to set and maintain the following options in the automatic mode: temperature, humidity, set up periodic thawing cycles, control the performance of the major components, and fix the malfunctions. Currently, refrigerated units of the containers use the following cooling agents during the normal operations ("freon gas") "R134а", "R409а", "R401а". The flow of air of a certain temperature is supplied from the refrigerating unit into the container, at the floor level. It then goes along the T-shaped profiles of the floor. It rises along the walls to the ceiling at the other end of the container, and returns to the refrigerated unit, by going along the ceiling. During the circulation the air, depending on the preset mode, heats or cools the internal space inside the refrigerated container, thus providing the temperature and humidity desired for the ideal preservation of goods. |
